I can’t begin to say how proud I am of this video! The journey has been REAL, let me tell you. After multiple film companies telling me “No” or “This song isn’t good for a video”, I finally found a company to take a chance on me. That company was Red Bicycle Media. Initially, RBM was hesitant to even discuss the project, and I can understand why.
However, they told me to send them the song “3 Sides” and within 5 minutes of receiving the song, they were onboard. RBM also did their homework on me and talked to key influencers in the Cleveland music scene to find more about me. After a few positive reviews, we had already begun planning the video.
It was a no brainer that I was going to use both Stefanie Satchik and Kellen Boyle in the video – The phenomenal actors who are featured in the song. Kellen is one of the reasons this video exists, because he told me I should make a visual for it. As for Stefanie, she is a true superstar. You may see her acting in the video, but she really did so much more. She is responsible for bringing onboard most of the actors featured in the video, such as Kellen Boyle, Ashleigh Morghan, and Jami Kinton.
Shooting the video was a blast! The entire RBM crew really showed me what it means to run an efficient operation. It truly was a TEAM effort! Some of my favorite moments occurred when we weren’t even shooting. For example, I met RBM crew member, Spencer, and it turns out we had a mutual friend – Jim Stewart. Jim is the man responsible for mixing and securing the singer, Maddie Finn, on the song. Spencer then introduced me to his group, Pipe Dream, and I bought their album when I got home (PS – Buy their album The Oak on iTunes | Amazon). It was also awesome having my best friend David Korvah on the set with me. He held down many key roles -- grip, cell phone manager, light man, etc. He has been down with me since day #1, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Love you Dave!
I also need to shout out Louis Harris for toughing it out with drums in cold weather! Thank you Jim Stewart for bringing Maddie onboard, and thank you Maddie for lacing me with that incredible chorus! Thank you Mike, your time is coming. Thank you Rebecca, you helped us out when we were in a jam. Thank you Lee, you and your family showed me the importance of helping others and staying grounded. Finally, thank you James and Christian. Thank you for taking a chance on me, and working months to bring this video to life.
